(Back story: read  this and this.)
An update on the story of my tiny niece, Miss Pinky (who is now 1 month old).
The tests came back negative for the genetic disorder, Pompe’s disease, which means she is a candidate to have her transplant.
My family is enjoying our first truly positive news since she was admitted to the hospital!

It is [...]

Knock it off already.   Flowering plants, get over yourself.  Mmph.  You’re beautiful, I get it.  You are totally the hottest when it comes to vegetation, that we agree on.  However,
Quit making babies all over the place!
Yeah, I’ve seen ya. We’ve all seen ya.  In the park, on the street, in window boxes, pots and planters, even [...]

Baby or House Cat?

Now it’s time for a fun new segment I like to call  Baby or House Cat?  You will be given a behavior and you must guess if it was a human infant or a domestic feline who perpetrated the act.  Today’s behavior:
Stuck their head around the blinds to peer outside.
.
Was it a baby or a [...]

When things look their darkest, one must search for the light.
We are still waiting on my niece, Pinky’s lab results to come back.  The results will determine whether or not she is a candidate for the heart transplant she needs to survive.  It is in this limbo that I find myself trying to eat my [...]

One Day

I will bounce you on my knee while you chuckle.
You will spin about until you fall down dizzy on the green grass.

I have [...]

Words which once seemed to be so powerful, fall meaningless from my head to the keys.  For what can words do for you?  But….
Today, you held my finger while they did your echo-gram.  The cold jelly on your chest and belly, made you squirm and cry, [...]

She is going to be placed in the NICU of the best children’s hospital in the area.

Spring’s the Thing

Yesterday was Easter Sunday.

We skipped church to go over to our friend’s for brunch and an egg hunt.  The Bear insisted on dressing up anyway.

And then he got out a baby suit for E.

We had a good day,  I hope you did too!

SPRING!!!!!!

Working the Guilt Angle

I had Eazy- E blocked in the living room this morning.  He was busying himself with books that have rip-able pages and content so I snuck off to put a load of laundry in and pee.
While I’m in the bathroom, I hear him realize that I was gone and he starts to fuss, which becomes [...]
